What a life!

Hello friends,

This has been a chaotic week so far, and it's only Tuesday! First of all, I promised I'd tell you about Puppy Class, so here goes. Apparently Puppy Class is the same thing as.... OBEDIENCE SCHOOL! That's right, I went to a class with a bunch of other puppies and their owners, and we had to listen to our humans to get treats! I liked it because I got to meet other little doggies, but I was shy at first. I'm the only dog in my house, so I don't really get to spend much time with other canines. When I first walked into the classroom, I hid behind my humans. Allison and Caroline went to class with me, and they kept encouraging me to go play with the other puppies. My teacher's name is Carol and I like her because she seems friendly and she always has puppy treats in her pockets. During my first class, I learned "sit" and "watch." It's kind of annoying having to do what my people tell me, but it's worth it because I get rewarded when I listen. I heard Caroline and Allison talking about me and they said they think I'm the smartest puppy in the class! I guess I impressed them even though it was only my first class. I found out that we'll be going back this Saturday morning... and every Saturday morning for 2 months! If I'm good and I do all of my homework, I get to graduate from puppy class and be in a class with big dogs! At first I wasn't too thrilled about the idea of being an Obedience Class dog.. they kind of have a reputation of being nerdy, goody-two-shoes dogs... but now I'm starting to like the idea. I never realized I could make a human so happy just by sitting down. They really are easily amused...

So since my class my people have been practicing what I learned so I can show my teacher how well I can do "sit" and "watch" next time. I wonder what else I'm going to learn... maybe she'll teach me how to walk on my back legs and open the refrigerator?? That's what I'm really hoping for.

I convinced Allison to take some pictures of me today on her digital camera. Well, it's not like I could actually talk to her to persuade her, but I dropped some subtle clues by looking extra adorable and being my cute little self all morning. If I can figure out how to add pictures to this post (since I'm so "smart" I should be able to!), I'll show you how I look. I have to admit, I am quite a pretty little dog. I have to live up to my name! A Ruby is a precious gem, so I have to be one too!

After I had my picture taken I decided
